Learn About FIRST
FIRST is the organization we are involved in. FIRST stands for For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology. There are four competitive levels: JFLL (age 6-8), FLL (elementary and middle school), FTC (middle and high school), and FRC (high school).
FIRST is more than robotics competitions. Everyone involved in FIRST is dedicated to Gracious Professionalism, which means that we can be competitive while still helping everyone do the best they can do. We help each other out and share ideas so that we all benefit. Aside from competitions, teams work with their community to spread awareness and teach about FIRST and STEM. Donate To Our Team
Donate through Amazon using Amazon Smile
After you set up Amazon Smile, whenever you purchase items on smile.amazon.com, Amazon sends a percentage of your purchase to our team at no additional cost to you. Just make sure that it says "supporting radrobotics" along the top bar.
(PayPal does not charge you for the transaction.)
If you want to donate parts or services, or if you have any questions, contact us.
Join Our Team
Unfortunately, we have so many members that we can't accept anyone right now for the Green Griffins. If you are interested in joining a team, R&D Robotics is starting a sister team that is open to join. Alternatively, if you join or start another team, we can offer our advice to your team, or you can contact us so we can put you on the interest list for next year. Thank you!
Visit our Contact Us page and send us an email. We are always exited to welcome new members!
COST: Registration with R&D Robotics Education is $125 for the season. Need-based scholarships are available. We fundraise throughout the year and do our best to cover expenses, including travel to events
AGE: We accept students from incoming 8th graders to incoming 12th graders
AVAILABILITY: Able to make Monday evening meetings and most Saturday morning meetings
ABILITIES: Must like robots and be willing to learn. We will teach you what you need to know.

Join a Different Team/Start Your Own
The FIRST website contains information on how to join teams and start teams.
Additionally, we are always willing to help and even come and teach new teams. Contact us here.
Other teams in your area, especially FTC and FRC teams, are probably willing to help, and you can reach out to them.
